Symptoms: "Error occurred. Could not load file or assembly … The system cannot
find the file specified." See the screenshot below for an image of the error.
Cause: Windows XP needs the Office 2007 or Office 2010 PIAs (Primary Interop Assemblies).
Resolution: Exit Outlook.
If you have Office 2007, download the PIAs from http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Downloads/AddIns/o2007pia.msi.
If you have Office 2010, download the PIAs from
http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Downloads/AddIns/Utils/o2010pia.msi
Once they are downloaded, you should be able to double click them to run them. If not, go to Start…Run. Type 'msiexec -I o2007pia.msi' or 'msiexec -I o2010pia.msi' (without the quotes) then Enter. Restart Outlook.
