Problem:
|
I can't tell if you support Outlook 2007?
|
Solution:
|
Yes - as of engine version 3.5.0 (released December 10, 2006) the add-ins
all run under Outlook 2007.
This version just adds its toolbar buttons and menu items to the "Add-Ins" tab (there's another version
that works much more closely with the new ribbon toolbar - due out in early January) but the major
functionality is now there and you can begin using it. If you would like to be notified when the new versions are ready (the ones that work closely with the ribbon toolbar), then please subscribe to our newsletter (on the left, in the orange area).
To begin using the new versions, it is necessary to follow the instructions on our updates page.

Our add-ins do not work with any of the beta releases, only the released version of Outlook 2007 (i.e., Outlook version 12.0.4518.1014 or better).
You can tell which version you have by going to (in Outlook) Help...About Microsoft Office Outlook.

Problem:
|
The add-in has suddenly stopped working, even though it was working before.
|
Solution:
|
The add-in may have become disabled. Outlook protects
itself by disabling add-ins whenever something goes
wrong (which is a pretty smart thing for Outlook to do so that
you can at least continue to receive your email). You can tell
if this has happened to you by going to
Help...Disabled Items. If it shows one
of our add-ins, then highlight it, then click Enable, then restart
Outlook. Note: The disabled items in Outlook before 2007 are located in Help...About Microsoft Outlook.
Also, it's possible that Outlook
is running "behind the scenes"
(that is, it
shows up in the Task Manager list of processes) and
you will have to logout or reboot the machine in order
to properly restart Outlook. Some people report seeing the toolbar after
rebooting their machine.
Finally, if all else fails, you can try our Add-Ins Reset Tool. This
tool will reset the "Sperry Software Engine" as if you just installed it (but your configuration settings will not be destroyed).

Many things can change even though your machine looks the same as it did yesterday. There
are service packs which can be updated (sometimes at night) for both Windows and Office,
and administrators may be installing (or uninstalling) items while you're away from your desk. Sometimes, it's necessary
to reinstall the add-in.

This problem occurs when you Upgrade your version of Outlook to 2007.

Problem:
|
The button is not on the email when I open it.
|
Solution:
|
As of engine version 3.5.0, we now have support for the buttons in Outlook 2007, and they appear in the "Add-Ins" tab of Outlook 2007.
We are working on an update to integrate more closely with the new ribbon. If your buttons do not show, then be sure that you are using the most recent
version of the add-ins by following the instructions on our updates page.
for this.

Only a few of the add-ins are effected by this issue: Add Email Address, Always BCC, Follow Up Reminders, Insert Date/Time, Print On Demand, Quick Text Hotkeys, Random Quotes, Reply To All Monitor, and Send Individually.

Problem:
|
In Outlook 2007, I cannot click on the link that attachment Save put in the email body?
|
Solution:
|
The problem is that Outlook is trying (quite correctly) to protect you. This is a security feature.
